Two Year Olds

Our Twos Program is for children who are approximately 2 - 3 years old.  (As with all our rooms, we work with parents to determine when a child is developmentally ready to move into or out of this room.)  Their schedule provides time for indoor and outdoor gross motor play, music (singing/fingerplays and dancing), basic art, reading and free play.  They continue to work with beginning colors and shapes.  They receive breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack (a menu is posted at the front and available for parents to take home).  The primary developmental task for this room is potty training.  We have teachers with extensive experience in this area who are eager to assist parents.  The room is equipped with a bathroom containing two child-sized commodes.  Parents receive a report daily detailing activities, potty/diaper information, amount of sleep, and general amount eaten.
